The 4000 is not nearly as extreme or kooky as the SafeType vertical keyboard, but it does have a familiar design meant to keep the hands, wrists, and arms aligned. The Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 is equipped with 2.4 GHz wireless technology and is identified mostly by its wavy, split keyboard design. Both input devices of the Natural Ergonomic Desktop borrow heavily from their standalone predecessors, sporting little or no difference at all, though the keyboard does come wireless in this version. In an effort towards a better ergonomic experience for the average user, who spends approximately six hours on the computer a day, Microsoft is rolling out the Natural Ergonomic Desktop 7000, which combines the company’s best selling wired keyboard, the Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000, with its latest ergonomic mouse, the Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 6000.
